Tour Itinerary

Shanghai-Hangzhou-Wuzhen-Suzhou-Shanghai (printable pdf flyer)

Day 1 Entry -- Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai. Transfer to a 4-star hotel.

Day 2 Shanghai (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Breakfast. Tour Yu Yuan Garden and Chenghuangmiao Market. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Tour the People’s Square, Nanjing Road. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 3 Shanghai-Hangzhou (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Breakfast. Travel to Hangzhou by train. Transfer to a 4-star hotel. Tour the West Lake (including a boat ride if weather permits). Lunch is at a local restaurant. Tour Lingyin Temple and the Flying from Afar Hill. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 4 Hangzhou (breakfast, lunch)

Breakfast. Visit a tea plantation and a tea farmer’s house. Lunch is at the tea farmer’s home. Tour the Pagoda of Six Harmonies. Dinner is on your own. Optional: the Impression of the West Lake show.

Day 5 Hangzhou-Wuzhen-Suzhou (breakfast, lunch)

Breakfast. Travel to Wuzhen by van. Tour this ancient water town. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Continue to Suzhou by van. Transfer to a 4-star hotel. Dinner is on your own.

Day 6 Suzhou (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Breakfast. Tour the Masters of Net Garden, the Lion Grove and the Humble Administrator’s Garden. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Enjoy a boat ride through the canals. Dinner is at a local restaurant.

Day 7 Suzhou-Shanghai (breakfast, lunch)

Breakfast. Tour the Lingering Garden and the Tiger Hill Park. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Visit Suzhou Embroidery Institute. Travel back to Shanghai by train. Transfer to a 4-star hotel. Tour the Bund. Dinner is on your own. Optional: the Oriental Pearl Tower tour and Huangpu River Cruise.

Day 8 Shanghai – Next City (breakfast)

Breakfast. Add an extension tour in Shanghai or transfer to the airport and fly to your next destination.

Domestic train schedule and the sequence of tour activities are subject to change.
Upgrade to a 5-star hotel can be made at an additional cost.

Tour Fees (with at least two people participating)

• One adult (single occupancy): $1585.00
• Two adults (double occupancy): $1185.00 + $1185.00
• One adult and one child (double occupancy): $1185.00 + $1085.00
• One adult and two children (with one roll-away bed): $1185.00 + $1085.00 + $985.00
• Two adults and one child (with one roll-away bed): $1185.00 + $1185.00 + $985.00
• Two adults and two children (with one roll-away bed): $1185.00 + $1185.00 + $985.00 + $785.00
• Add $100.00 to the above child’s fee if he/she is 12 years old or older during the trip.

Registration: $300.00 deposit per person due 60 days prior to travel.

Inclusions: Hotels as specified in the itinerary, Shanghai-Hangzhou and Suzhou-Shanghai train fare, bilingual tour guide in each city, driver with van/car/tour bus for scheduled tour activities and transfers between the hotel and the airport or train station, meals as specified, scheduled sightseeing activities, and luggage tags.

Exclusions: Chinese entry visa fee, international airfare, airfare to Shanghai on Day 1, extension tour on Day 8, airfare from Shanghai to your next destination, gratuities, excess baggage fee, expenses of a personal nature (laundry, phone, mini bar, taxi for individual activities, etc.), certain meals on your own, and optional tour activities.
